The stipend award is up to $7,000 and meant to help offset incidental expenses (travel, housing, commuter costs, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Unpaid or low-paying internship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum of 240 hours of supervised work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-profit organizations in or near Claremont or local to your hometown<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Examples of internships<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Division of Infections Diseases and Geographic Medicine<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal of the lab is to develop a better understanding of how the immune system operates, specifically how it recognizes and responds to viruses. This research will be used to develop new ways of preventing and treating diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cafe Con Libros<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>They are providing a space for the residents of Pomona to bond together over art and literature, or really in whatever way they want.
