Capacity and Preparatory Review

This report served two purposes:

  1. To demonstrate that Harvey Mudd College “functions with clear purposes, high levels of institutional integrity, fiscal stability, and organizational structures and processes to fulfill its purposes.”
  2. To demonstrate that the institution is prepared to fulfill its obligations for the Educational Effectiveness Review.

The Capacity and Preparatory Review (CPR) report for Harvey Mudd College was submitted to the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities on July 1, 2009. Visiting Team Final Report

Harvey Mudd College received the visiting team’s final report (PDF) on the Capacity and Preparatory Review visit on November 30, 2009.

Commission Action Letter

Harvey Mudd College received the WASC Commission Action Letter (PDF) on March 5, 2010, which reaffirmed the findings and recommendations outlined in the visiting team’s report, and authorized Harvey Mudd College to proceed with the third phase of the reaccreditation process, the Educational Effectiveness Review.
