While blood pressure and heart rate measurements are routine, there exists a clear need for a non-invasive cardiac monitor that can inform physicians about the effective performance of a patient&#8217;s heart. The DARPA Clinic team has developed a conceptual framework for a non-contact device that uses steppedfrequency electromagnetic interrogation to assess cardiac health.
