January 15, 2021 – Glenn Hudson \u201807 landed at Fluidmaster a few years after graduating from Harvey Mudd College, in part because he knew the company from the first Clinic project they sponsored back in 2005.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Clinic Will Help L.A. Residents Monitor Air Quality<\/span><\/a><\/h2>

December 16, 2020 – As part of its Clinic Program, Harvey Mudd College commits to at least two social justice projects every year. During the 2020\u20132021 academic year, the Department of Mathematics partnered with the Community Environmental Health Action Team (CEHAT) to provide data analysis and education about air quality and the impact on the health of residents in South Gate, a city 12 miles south of downtown Los Angeles.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Sleep Apnea Treatments<\/span><\/a><\/h2>

December 16, 2020 – Working remotely added some complications for an\u00a0Alfred E. Mann Foundation (AMF)\u00a0Engineering Clinic team data collection for a sleep study, which will collect data using external sensors from volunteers over two to three nights.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Sandia Clinic Team Publishes Nanocomposite Research<\/span><\/a><\/h2>

September 22, 2020 –\u00a0The Sandia Clinic project, one of 56 Clinic projects sponsored last academic year, concerns barium titanate (BTO), a ferroelectric material used in capacitors because of its high dielectric constant, which may be even higher in nanoparticle form.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Harvey Mudd College Students Build Model for Testing Synchronization of Wireless Networks (PDF)<\/span><\/a><\/h2>

MIT Lincoln Laboratory, June 1, 2016 – Students from Harvey Mudd College (HMC) visited Lincoln Laboratory to present their conclusions from a yearlong clinic. Working with staff from Advanced Concepts and Technologies, Group 39, the group of five students set out to create a way to model and test synchronization of wireless systems, which require aligning the time of digital clocks down to the nanosecond level.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n
