{"id":3157,"date":"2016-10-18T13:07:18","date_gmt":"2016-10-18T20:07:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www5.hmc.edu\/ITNews\/?p=3157"},"modified":"2024-02-09T14:37:36","modified_gmt":"2024-02-09T22:37:36","slug":"goodbye-majordomo-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/cis\/2016\/10\/18\/goodbye-majordomo-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Goodbye Majordomo 2"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We are rounding the final bend in our journey to decommission the old Majordomo mailing list system and move lists to Google Apps for Education (g.hmc.edu), now known as &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/cloud.googleblog.com\/2016\/09\/all-together-now-introducing-G-Suite.html\">G Suite for Education<\/a>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lists related to departments (such as <a href=\"mailto:c&#105;s&#45;s&#116;&#97;&#102;f&#64;g&#46;&#104;mc&#46;edu\">&#99;&#105;&#115;-s&#116;&#97;&#102;f&#64;&#103;&#46;hmc.edu<\/a> or <a href=\"mailto:&#98;i&#111;&#45;&#102;&#97;culty&#64;&#103;&#46;h&#109;c.&#101;du\">bio&#45;&#102;&#97;&#99;ul&#116;&#121;&#64;&#103;.&#104;m&#99;&#46;&#101;d&#117;<\/a>) have \u00a0been moved over to Google groups. \u00a0We are now sifting through the remaining lists and have begun\u00a0asking list managers to identify which lists need to be recreated in Google Groups.
