The charge of this group is to explore academic integrity in the AI era; engage stakeholders and gather input; and identify resources, supports, and capacity building that might be most impactful.<br>The AI Study Group has been asked to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Explore academic integrity in the AI era.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage stakeholders and gather input.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify resources, supports, and capacity building that might be most impactful.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The members of the study group are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Beth Trushowsky (Computer Science)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ken Fandell (Humanities, Social Sciences and the Arts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kyle Thompson (Dean of Faculty Office)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Zach Dodds (Computer Science)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1o797Y0z_-p6rLQDKG4WJHrC6l0K_5TyZqKm8d5Nc_og\/edit?usp=sharing\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1o797Y0z_-p6rLQDKG4WJHrC6l0K_5TyZqKm8d5Nc_og\/edit?usp=sharing\">AI Study Group Charge<\/a>. (HMC Credentials)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Innovation Accelerator for AI (IAL-AI)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>HMC students and faculty are well prepared to explore both the technical frontiers of AI and the human dimensions of its impact. They can be a significant part of ensuring that this technology is harnessed for the betterment of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In September 2025, the college announced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/strategic-planning\/innovation-accelerator\/ial-ai\/\">Internal Funding Awards to Advance AI in Alignment with the HMC Strategic Plan and Comprehensive Campaign<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A new endowed professorship in AI is currently under recruitment, with the first hire expected in Fall 2026.
