For now, the following will serve as the designated group for operational AI oversight:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"mailto:&#104;au&#115;h&#97;l&#116;&#101;&#114;&#64;g.h&#109;&#99;.ed&#117;\">Karl Haushalter<\/a>, Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"mailto:&#97;&#100;&#111;&#114;a&#110;&#116;es&#64;&#103;.&#104;m&#99;.edu\">Andrew Dorantes<\/a>, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"mailto:&#118;au&#103;h&#97;n&#64;&#103;.hm&#99;&#46;ed&#117;\">Joseph Vaughan<\/a>, CIO\/VP for Computing and Information Services<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This group represents faculty, operations, and technology and their roles position them to gather feedback from across the community and ensure alignment with contractual and cybersecurity obligations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you begin to engage with AI tools this semester, please keep in mind the broader considerations: information security, data privacy, compliance, copyright, academic integrity, and ethical and environmental impacts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who makes decisions about AI for the college?
