CIS maintains and supports a few onsite file servers for the Harvey Mudd community. The primary server for Harvey Mudd’s general academic needs is Charlie. It is available via Windows File Sharing and to all other platforms via Samba connections and FTP. In order to access Charlie, you must be on the campus network via wired or wireless connection (Claremont-WPA only). For offsite access, it will be necessary to use VPN to connect.
Alice provides storage and services for administrative offices of Harvey Mudd College. Usage practices of Alice vary for each department. In order to access Alice, you must be on the campus network via wired connection. For on campus wireless and offsite access it will be necessary to use VPN to connect.
CIS is no longer providing dedicated personal space (home directories) to new faculty, students, and staff. Instead, we encourage our users to use some of the cloud based solutions we provide, such as Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive.
If you need assistance setting up and using Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, please contact the CIS Help Desk.
Available to faculty, students, staff, and emeritus at HMC.
How to Access the Service
