Audiovisual Support for Meetings

Service Description

In addition to providing classroom support, the Audiovisual Staff also provides support for meetings on the HMC campus. Please note that reserving a room for a meeting and requesting audiovisual support for a meeting require separate requests. To reserve a meeting room please use the EMS website. Most classrooms and meeting rooms on campus already have built-in audiovisual equipment. Other rooms, such as the Hoch-Shanahan PDRs do not have any built-in audiovisual equipment.

For meetings in smaller rooms such as the Hoch-Shanahan PDRs, the Audiovisual staff can provide:

  1. A digital video projector (to be displayed on one of the walls in the room)
  2. A conference speaker phone
  3. Laptop (either Mac or PC)
  4. A DVD/VHS player
  5. Computer speakers
  6. Handheld Audio Recording Device

For meetings in larger rooms such as Platt A/B, the Audio Visual Department is capable of providing*:

  1. A conference speaker phone
  2. Laptop (either Mac or PC)
  3. Handheld Audio Recording Device

For large or high priority meetings such as the Board of Trustee meetings that take place in Platt Green Room, the Audiovisual staff can provide*:

  1. Laptop (either Mac or PC)
  2. Conference Microphone System
  3. Teleconference Bridge
  4. Audio Recording Device (built into the Conference Microphone System unit)
  5. Handheld Audio Recording Device

*These rooms generally have installed projectors and screens. Some rooms will come equipped with a sound system installed as well as a DVD/VCR player. If a need for any of these items is requested and the room does not provide them, Audiovisual staff can supply them.

How to Access the Service

If you would like to request an audiovisual setup for your meeting please visit our page on Requesting an Audiovisual Setup for more information. We appreciate your giving us as much advance notice as possible. We may not be able to accommodate requests made with less than 24 hours notice. Once a request has been submitted through the A/V request form, Audiovisual staff will respond within 24 hours confirming the event and what equipment will be provided.
