JupyterHub Server 2019

JupyterHub was installed on Prof. Vatche Sahakian’s high performance computer system (HPC), Kepler. It was customized for performing parallel computing in the latest Julia kernel and serves as a uniform computing environment to all students enrolled in Computational Physics course taught by Prof. Sahakian. The students are able to run their code via a web interface that includes access to a terminal, editor, Jupyter Notebooks and their home directories.

The server has been set up with useful tools available in the Jupyter ecosystem, such as Formgrader (nbgrader). Formgrader automatically collects and distributes the homework assignment, keeps track of grades and speeds up grading.

JupyterHub server has also been installed on the fast.math server in the mathematics department to be used for Math Clinic Projects.
