Situated within our vibrant academic environment, this program is designed for students ready to accelerate their careers in biology, chemistry, engineering, mathematics, and physics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Award<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Selected Scholars receive one of the most generous funding packages available to undergraduates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>$18,200 Stipend<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Direct financial support for your time and research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>$2,800 Travel &amp; Supplies Fund<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Dedicated funds to support your research materials, travel to national conferences, and graduate school application fees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Experience<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>15-Month Duration<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Two full-time summers (10 weeks each) + one academic year (part-time) of deep, continuous research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Deep Mentorship:<\/strong> 1-on-1 training with one of <strong>10 faculty Mentors<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Leadership Development:<\/strong> Personalized Individual Development Plans (IDP), peer mentoring opportunities with the <em>Summer Institute<\/em>, and hosting an annual &#66;S&#80;&#64;H&#77;C se&#109;inar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>National Exposure<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Present your work at the annual Beckman Symposium and discipline-specific national conferences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who Can Apply?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Current HMC Students:<\/strong> Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident of the United States or its possessions, or hold DACA recipient status.<\/em>  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Major: <\/strong>Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics.
