As the career advisor/employer developer in the Office of Career Services, Jason works with students, particularly during walk-in hours, on all aspects of career development: career exploration, major selection, internship/job search, resume/cover letter creation, interviewing, and the graduate school application process. He also participates in the office’s workshop series, presenting on a range of career topics, and provides leadership and group dynamic trainings for student groups using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, in which Jason is certified. In collaboration with the associate director, Jason also assists with the on-campus recruiting program by coordinating employer events and cultivating new employers.
Prior to joining the Office of Career Services, Jason served for six-years as the assistant director of career services at Claremont McKenna College, where he counseled students of all majors, presented career-related workshops, staffed employer events, and managed the college’s Sponsored Internship Program, a flagship initiative that awards funding to students for summer internships. In addition to his experience in career services, Jason worked for over four years in the Dean of Students Office at Claremont McKenna, overseeing the department’s operations, and for two-years in the Chancellor’s Office at UC Berkeley.
Jason earned his B.A. in English from UCLA.
