Students Tour SpaceX and Google

Twenty-four students visited SpaceX and Google during fall break (Oct. 21-22) as part of the Office of Career Services’ Mudd on the Road program.

At Hawthorne, Calif.-based SpaceX, students heard a presentation by recruiter Sandy Simmons, and then toured the assembly floor where the construction of rockets–similar to the Falcon 9 and Dragon–was underway.

At Google’s office in Venice, Calif., students enjoyed a tour led by three Harvey Mudd College alumnus–Craig Berry ’85, Michael Lamdin ’07 and Micah Szal ’02. Students dined on an assortment of gourmet delights and viewed the various work stations and meeting rooms as well as places to relax and unwind.
