McGregor Tile Campaign
From helping build more capable and diverse STEM leaders to encouraging students to express creativity in their work through the art and science of making, the Scott A. McGregor Computer Science Center at Harvey Mudd College promises to be a dynamic addition to the campus.
The second and third floors of the three-story, 36,000- square-foot academic building provide a much-needed new home for the rapidly growing Department of Computer Science, which will further expand its already highly collaborative work across all HMC departments, with faculty and students from The Claremont Colleges as well as with industry and educational institutions across the country. HMC’s first, permanent makerspace, located on the ground level, will serve as a gateway to both the campus and outside communities and will foster and support interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary exploration while providing additional opportunities for partnership.
Support the innovation and growth of Harvey Mudd College and celebrate this exciting chapter in its history by purchasing and naming a commemorative floor tile. For a gift of $1,000, you may honor a loved one, remember a faculty or staff member, or have your own name permanently displayed. Special pricing is available for alumni from the classes of 2011–2015 ($500) to 2016–2020 ($250). Parents of Mudders from the Classes of 2020 and 2021 and students in the Class of 2021 also receive a special price of $250 to commemorate their graduation. The tile will be prominently displayed in the Scott A. McGregor Computer Science Center’s central courtyard.
Submit your gift and customized name via the McGregor Center Tile Naming form or contact our staff at email@example.com for other payment options. Funds raised will be used to support student stipends and equipment and furniture needs for the McGregor Center’s Makerspace. At the discretion of the Director of the Makerspace and Dean of the Faculty, a portion may be allocated to create an endowed fund* supporting these purposes.
Questions regarding the commemorative tiles may be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org. For questions on other naming opportunities within the McGregor Center, contact Jessica Berger, AVP for development, at email@example.com or 909.607.0902.
