July 19, 2017
8:30 a.m.–1 p.m.
Founders' Room, Honnold Mudd Library
Faculty members from across The Claremont Colleges are invited to attend this workshop, in which we will highlight and devise approaches to integrating environmental and sustainability topics into new and existing courses and share best practices. A panel of faculty members will share their experiences with incorporating sustainability into their courses, the pedagogical approaches that shaped their decisions and the community resources available to facilitate and enrich those courses, followed by a question-and-answer period and breakout discussions. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Co-hosted by the Hixon Center for Sustainable Environmental Design, the Sustainability Integration Office at Pomona College, The Claremont Colleges Environmental Analysis Program and the Energize Colleges Program at Harvey Mudd and Claremont McKenna colleges, this workshop draws on the success of the Mellon Foundation-funded 2010 Teaching Sustainability workshop in Claremont.
