John Cook, sustainability manager at Niagara Bottling, will discuss “The Might and Blight of Plastic: How Companies are Addressing the Needs and Concerns of Using Plastic in the Packaging Industry.”

Plastics pollution has captured the attention of corporations and media unlike any other time since its widespread use starting in the 1950s. What lies behind the headlines are corporate sustainability goals on the value, problems and solutions for using plastic in the packaging industry. In this talk, Cook will discuss how the bottled water industry has incorporated sustainability into their practices and products to address plastics pollution and other environmental challenges.
