Details

Join us on the Pomona College campus for the Claremont premiere of the documentary film Bicycle Revolution, based on a class taught at Harvey Mudd College. This event is free and open to the public, with donations suggested and refreshments for sale to benefit the Pomona Valley Bicycle Coalition. Pomona College Green Bikes will also host a pop-up bike tune-up event at the premiere!

Bicycle Revolution follows a class of 15 students at Harvey Mudd College, who cycle to 12 cities in order to explore the challenges of creating bicycle-friendly cities, which offers a window into the politics of social change in urban settings. The class is literally on wheels—the film documents the students’ rides to meet with knowledgeable decision-makers, transportation planners and community activists in Southern California.

Director and Professor of Political Science and Environmental Policy Paul Steinberg will lead a discussion and Q and A with students from the class following the film. More info: thebicyclerevolution.org
