Harvey Mudd College and the producers of the PBS science series NOVA present Einstein’s Quantum Riddle, a film documenting a successful test of quantum entanglement using photons from distant astronomical objects and two of the world’s largest telescopes. Harvey Mudd physics professor Jason Gallicchio, Calvin Leung ’17 and Beili (Nora) Hu ’19 participated in the test, which marked the first time that light traveling from nearly the edge of the known universe has been used in a quantum experiment.
Free and open to the public. Reception with refreshments follows the Q-and-A.
