The Joint Music Program of Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pitzer and Scripps Colleges presents The Claremont Concert Orchestra performing symphonic works inspired by ballet and folk dances. There will be two performances. An evening concert at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10 and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. on Dec. 11. Concerts will be held in Garrison Theater at the Scripps College Performing Arts Center. The program includes Waltz No. 2 by Shostakovich, Dances in the Canebreaks by Florence Price, From the Black Belt by William Grant Still, and the Swan Lake Suite by Tchaikovsky. Admission is FREE and open to the public.
