“Personal and Professional Lessons Learned From a Long McKinsey Career”
Endre Holen will describe his professional and personal adventures, sharing the lessons he wished he’d known as a college student and how to put those skills and mindsets into practice. He will give solid advice, make you laugh and share his failures and successes. He will challenge your thinking about direction and purpose and encourage you to purposefully choose a rewarding professional and personal life.
Holen is the leader of the McKinsey & Company’s North American High Tech Practice. During his 20-plus years with McKinsey, he has served clients primarily in the high-tech and telecom industries on a wide range of topics. He has contributed to McKinsey’s internal knowledge-building efforts in enterprise IT, software, broadband communications and services, and semiconductors and has co-authored several articles published in the McKinsey Quarterly.
Trained as a structural engineer in his native Norway, Holen brings an engineer’s attention to detail to his deep interest in organizational performance. He has led multiple transformation efforts for clients in several high-tech subsectors, including software, semiconductors, wireless, hardware and services spanning the value chain from strategy and product development to marketing and sales.
Drawing on this broad experience allows Holen to focus his efforts on advising senior business leaders on holistic performance improvement and its implications for corporations, leadership, organization and execution.
