What are electronic bills?

Electronic bills, or eBills, are electronic images of the paper statements you currently receive. They are accessible online and will replace paper statements beginning July 1, 2014.

What are the advantages of eBills?

  • Faster delivery.
  • Easy access to past statements and up-to-date account information.
  • Multiple users can be authorized to access account information and pay any outstanding balances.
  • Environmentally friendly. Reduces paper usage.

How do I register for eBills?

All students have automatically been registered for eBills. Users who have previously subscribed to eCheck also already have access.

Other users must be authorized by the student on the Tuition Payment Agreement (PDF). Your email address must be up-to-date in order for us to notify you. Please update your contact information using the Parent Information Update Form. You will receive login information before July 1, 2014. If you do not, please contact student_accounts@hmc.edu.

How do I view my eBills?

Once logged in to the portal, click on the Student Accounts Info tab, then click on the View Billing Statements link. Select the statement desired. The statement will open in a new browser window. (Make sure your pop-up blocker is disabled.)

How does a student authorize another user(s) or update other billing information?

To update your billing information, the student should complete and return a new Tuition Payment Agreement to the Office of Student Accounts.

What if I forget my password?

Please click on the “forgot password” link on the login page. If you need additional assistance, please contact helpdesk@hmc.edu.

Is there a fee to use eBills?

No.

What if I want a paper copy of my bill?

You can print your bill at any time to retain a copy for your records. You can also save an image of the bill on your personal computer.

When will I receive my last paper bill?

The last paper bill will be mailed in June. Beginning July 1, 2014 you will no longer receive a paper bill.

How will I be notified each month when my bill is available for viewing and paying online?

We will send an email to all students and other authorized individuals each time a new bill is issued.

Do I have to pay online?

No, you can still mail us a traditional check if you prefer not to pay via eCheck. Please see our payment methods for more information.

What if I don’t receive an email notification that my eBill is ready to view or pay?

Be sure we have your current email address. Also, check your security settings, spam blocker and email filters, as one of these may be preventing the e-mail from reaching you. Please add student_accounts@hmc.edu to your contact list so that our notifications are not mislabeled as spam.

If you haven’t received a notification by the 15th of the month, please email us at student_accounts@hmc.edu because payment is due by the 20th of each month.

Why is my online statement not updated to reflect recent payments and/or charges?

When you select your current eBill, you are viewing a static statement that displays account information from the last bill date. It is like looking at a paper statement. Your current eBill is not updated to reflect changes posted to your account since the last bill date. To view changes made since the last bill date, please select “My Account Balances” on the Student Accounts Info tab. The grand total is your current account balance and reflects any changes posted to your account since the last bill date.
