A tour of my off-campus adventures

Four days a week, I venture off Mudd campus for at least 1.5 hours. My exciting destinations include my Worlds of Buddhism class on Monday and Wednesday, at Pomona, and Introduction to Philosophy on Tuesday and Thursday, at Scripps. The 5 Claremont Colleges are really close to each other. Pomona is a casual 15 minute walk away, while I can leave for Philosophy at Scripps 3 minutes before class starts. The weather’s almost always great and it’s refreshing to step out of the Harvey Mudd bubble at least once every day. The college consortium is one of the reasons I chose to come to Mudd – you have the ability to choose how large you want your college experience to be.

Here’s a tour of my trip off campus:

The Honnold Mudd library, shared by all of the 5 Claremont Colleges. The inside has a really comforting, almost 80s feel to it that automatically helps you focus.

We see Claremont McKenna (CMC) to our right; its modern, geometric aesthetic stands out on this gorgeous day.

Now passing by Scripps, just another 3 minute walk back to Mudd. Mudders often visit Scripps for lunch, or the Motley cafe for a snack or late night chai.
