Harvey Mudd College was named one of the country\u2019s top undergraduate institutions in The Princeton Review\u2019s 2023 college guide,\u00a0The Best 388 Colleges.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Princeton Review chooses which colleges to include in the guide based on the quality of their educational programs but does not rank the colleges overall. This year, the company\u2019s editors named the top 25 colleges in 50 separate categories, ranging from laboratory facilities to financial aid to campus food. The ranking lists are based on The Princeton Review\u2019s surveys of students currently attending the colleges.<\/p>\n

Harvey Mudd ranked No. 9 in the category \u201cStudents Study the Most.\u201d<\/p>\n

In last year\u2019s edition, due to the fact that many students were not able to be present on their campus during the pandemic, the Princeton Review created\u00a026 unranked \u201cGreat Lists,\u201d which recognize colleges that have appeared frequently in the 26 categories in years\u2019 past. Harvey Mudd was featured on four such \u201cGreat Lists\u201d: \u201cGreat Professor Accessibility,\u201d \u201cGreat Professors,\u201d \u201cStudents Study the Most\u201d and \u201cLGBTQ-Friendly.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the most recent edition of a separate The Princeton Review publication that comes out each spring, Best Value Colleges 2022, Harvey Mudd was ranked No. 2 for “Best Career Placement”, No. 6 for “Top 50 Best Value Colleges (Private Schools)” and No. 15 for \u201cTop 20 Best Schools (Private) for Internships.\u201d Harvey Mudd also ranked No. 3 for \u201cTop 20 Best Value Private Colleges for Students With No Demonstrated Need.\u201d Harvey Mudd meets 100% of demonstrated financial need for all students, and 75% of students receive need-based or merit awards, or a combination.<\/p>\n

Harvey Mudd appears as a top 50 college in the unranked categories of \u201cColleges That Create Futures\u201d and \u201cGreen Colleges.\u201d<\/p>\n

In The Princeton Review\u2019s\u00a0profile of Harvey Mudd<\/a>, the editors write, \u201cProfessors are almost universally reported to be \u2018incredible, \u2019\u2019truly dedicated to undergraduate teaching,\u2019 and \u2018always willing to spend hours outside of class answering questions.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The students surveyed also praised the \u201cbroad Core curriculum at Harvey Mudd,\u201d which \u201cproduces scientists who can rise to meet interdisciplinary challenges within the sciences\u201d and facilitates \u201cgreat post-grad opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n

The students described the College as having a \u201cstrong community of talented students that build each other up,\u201d and a \u201csmall, tight-knit community in which everyone looks after one another.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
