Scripps College student Kate Finlay shares how HMC\u2019s redesigned introductory course, CS5, helped her discover the fun, joy and intellectual excitement of computer science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The radio spot was part of the NPR series, \u201cThe Changing Lives of Women.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Computer Science Department Chair Ran Libeskind-Hadas describes HMC\u2019s innovative, female-friendly CS program for Open Colleges\u2019 recent article, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/sections\/alltechconsidered\/2013\/05\/01\/178810710\/How-One-College-Is-Closing-The-Tech-Gender-Gap\">STEM still a Man\u2019s World?
