{"id":1752,"date":"2013-10-22T09:00:31","date_gmt":"2013-10-22T16:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/about-hmc\/?p=1752"},"modified":"2019-04-17T11:51:54","modified_gmt":"2019-04-17T18:51:54","slug":"cross-country-teams-ace-multi-dual-meet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/about\/2013\/10\/22\/cross-country-teams-ace-multi-dual-meet\/","title":{"rendered":"Cross Country Teams Ace Multi-Dual Meet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men\u2019s and women\u2019s cross-country teams finished 8-0 at the SCIAC Multi-Dual meet Oct. 18 in La Mirada, Calif.<\/p>\n<p>Harvey Mudd College student Zorg Loustalet \u201916 won the men\u2019s race, setting a course record with a time of 25:24.9.<\/p>\n<p>Loustalet led the majority of the race and pulled away from John Guzman of Occidental College in the final 400 meters to win by just over two seconds.\u00a0His record-setting finish broke the 25:47 course record set in 2006 by Will Leer, a four-time national track champion.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s team also dominated their course, with four runners in the top six for most of the race.<\/p>\n<p>Both teams will compete next on Saturday, Nov. 2, in the SCIAC Championships at Prado Park in Chino, Calif.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men\u2019s and women\u2019s cross-country teams finished 8-0 at the SCIAC Multi-Dual meet Oct. 18 in La Mirada, Calif.
