Want to leave campus but need a ride? Here are some local transportation tips:

Dial-A-Ride
For a local ride the fare is only $1.25 per person, and you may share the fare if two are going to the same destination.

Claremont Dial-a-Ride operates within the boundaries of Claremont. Service is also provided to the medical facilities in the Pomona Valley Medical Center area as well as to the Montclair Plaza and Montclair Trans Center.

Dial-a-Ride offers transfers to Foothill Transit at convenient locations in addition to offering service to the Metrolink trains at the Claremont Depot. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Call Claremont Dial-a-Ride ((909) 623-0183 or TDD 868-0611) at least one hour before your desired pick-up time.

 

Yellow Cab Co. Of San Gabriel Valley

Looking for a taxi? Yellow Cab Co. has 24 hour service, and all passengers ride for the price of one. Students can get a discount for mentioning Harvey Mudd College.

Airport Shuttles
SuperShuttle conducts frequent service to and from the Ontario and Los Angeles airports. Xpress Shuttle also services both Ontario and LAX.

If you need to cancel a reservation, please do it 24 hours in advance, online or by calling 1-800-700-1983. If you need to know where your Van is, the Dispatch Hotline Number is 1-310-782-3347.

Please know that there is a 15-minute grace period for pick up.

VERY IMPORTANT FOR GROUP RESERVATIONS
When a group of passengers are going together in one shuttle van, you must ALL be present and ready to board when giving your confirmation number to curb coordinator. When the van comes to the curb to pick up passengers, the driver cannot wait at the curb for anyone. It is Airport Policy that the driver cannot be parked at the curb. If there is a situation where a passenger is accidentally left behind, he will have to pay again for his ride, so it is up to you to make sure that you coordinate this group so that this does not happen to anyone.

(Before winter and summer breaks, depending on the availability of drivers, Mudd may run shuttles to the Ontario Airport.)
