Dorm presidents are elected each spring by upperclass students who will be living in each dorm the following year. They lead dorm meetings, respond to concerns from residents about dorm facilities and services, buy dorm equipment and coordinate social activities, road trips, movies, parties, pranks, faculty speakers and various fun, stress-relieving, bonding events. Social activities and dorm parties are ordinarily handled by ASHMC's Social Committee representatives from each dorm. Dorm presidents sit on the ASHMC board and compose the Dormitory Affairs Committee (DAC) of ASHMC.
