HMC
Housing & Dining

Nearly all HMC students live on campus in the eight residence halls. While upperclass students are freely able to live off campus, the fact that about 99 percent of students choose to remain on campus is remarkable.

Students say they like living on campus for the proximity of fellow students for questions on classwork, the opportunity to run over to computer labs and classrooms at all hours of the day or night, the high-speed Ethernet connections in every student room and the convenience of rolling out of bed and getting to class or the dining hall in less than five minutes. Naturally, they also like the ability to socialize with fellow students when it’s time for a break.

Most of Mudd's residence halls have been renovated within the last few years. This includes new paint, carpet and furniture, as well as upgrades in electrical systems and installation of wireless computer network connections. Each spring upperclass students choose their rooms in room draw for the following fall. Space is reserved for first-year students in all eight of the residence halls.

The academic calendar has the opening and closing dates for the residence halls.
