Hufsa – we’ve talked about goals before
    Are there any new goals you came up with?
    Nope… Brainstorm.
    Nothing..
    Now, mistreatment of club equipment (i.e. fencing club)
    Dean Chris said he has to clean up when clubs leave equipment laying about
    ASHMC pays for this equipment, so we’re putting in more money for lost equip
    Maybe we could appoint someone to be in charge of that stuff
    Do you guys have any ideas?
Ryan – I was trying to check out a drill from the lac a few weeks ago
    But they were all checked out
    The lac knows who has the items, so how can they go missing?
Hufsa- some people don’t check stuff out, but just take the stuff
Ryan – if the lac staff is just allowing people to take stuff without following protocol, that needs to be fixed
Hufsa- each club has their own method of checking stuff out
Ryan – we can encourage clubs to use the lac system
Ben – are there any situation in which check-out would hinder usage?
Rachid- can we just say that if it’s in the lac, they need to use the lac system
    If they store stuff elsewhere, we have to approve a checkout system

Leon – food committee chair for 2nd year
    To go containers are being switched out for a new model (lack of perforation to stop breaks)
    Old containers are still in use, but will be replaced as they break
Ayyappa – if I check out one today, how long are you allowed to keep it before being charged?

Leon - $5 flex
    Containers are getting 40-50 uses before they break
    The newer ones should get up to 80
    Two weeks ago, I sent out an ice cream survey, which got a great turnout (310 responses)
    Mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream might become permanent flavors
    Also, we’re doing the copper chef competition soon
    Three rounds this year (there was only one last year)
    We have 5 professors doing judging this year
    Prizes: winning team will get customized apron/hat and golden spoon
    Also on the agenda this semester, improvements to the muddhole
    Last year, we added the camera
    This year, we’re going to provide healthier alternatives
    We’ll add fruit and parfaits next semester, after we order a new fridge
    We might also start doing salads
Chris- you could also get lean cuisines, that are cheap
Leon – there’s not the storage room right now
    Lastly, our goal for next semester is to work on the mealplan
    People have been wanting a change with meal/flex plan
    2 meal increment plans
    Change flex plan to make it a mix and match (8 meals and $16 flex, etc)
Jackma- if we disagree with the taste of the rice, who should we talk to?

    Also, comment board next to the tray area
    Or you could talk to any dining services employee

Haunting Budget Request
Underwater Robotics Club – Brian Soe
Brian – we’re here for underwater robotics
    We’ve already spent most of the $250 you gave us
    Requesting $330 to get full budget of last time
Edward – we’ve bought a joystick, an Ethernet shield, and an Ethernet cable
    We’ve decided to build our own thruster, which was $45
    That is all of the $250
    Dean Cave told us to not buy anything assuming we get the Shanahan grant
Josh – what would you be able to do if you don’t get the grant?
Edward – the Shanahan grant is the only grant for these kinds of projects
    We’ve been thinking about other fundraising options
Lindsay – is it possible for someone on the team to front the money, and if you don’t get the grant, we’ll reimburse
Edward- it’s possible, but we want to make sure that there is a backing for reimbursement
Speakers – Rachid Grimes, Leo Altmann, Yoichi Sagawa
Leo – the social sound system is broken, and we need money
    We’ve been using personal speakers for parties
    We don’t want to be reliant on students here, and wear and tear shouldn’t be on the student
    With the given budget, the new system will be more powerful and cheaper than the last
    These will hopefully last a very long time

Leo – most of the parties that aren’t gigantic and where DJs don’t bring their own

Hufsa- last week, we had a lot of questions about club equipment
Cody – about the equipment, there was no reason for us to move the equipment
    It was ordered by the administration

Cody- we were given $1350 from the 5Cs
    We spent most of that on repairs
    We also purchased storage
    We don’t have any left for new equipment

Cody- $550 dollars
Linsday – can you give us information on what you got from the other 5cs
Cody- CMC gave us $450
    Pomona gave us none
Lindsay – what about Pitzer or Scripps?
Cody- Pitzer is unfindable
    A Scripps alumnus donated money

Cody- before, we had it in large cardboard boxes
    We now have large bins and equipment bags

Cody- they feel they already gave us enough money

Cody- in order for us to compete, we need a full electric strip
    We’ve bought some of the parts, but we don’t have the whole thing

Cody- right now, we cover all of it, but competing members have to bring their own equipment

    Plus another $85 registration fee

    This year, we don’t really have to do much to qualify, since SoCal is underrepresented
Wylie- how did the last match go?
Cody- one of our women’s epée got 3rd place
    One of our beginner sabers beat the #3
    This Sunday is competition at UCI
