Budget Request: Quiz Bowl - Alejandro Lopez-Lago
Alejandro – Every year, there’s a national tournament for quiz bowl
    We qualified this year, but it’s pretty expensive
    We have four people, and we need money for airfare
    We have want $900 from ASHMC to cover the three Mudders on the team
Matt – do people go every year?
Alejandro – this is the first year that I know of we’ve qualified
Matt- if you don’t get funding, what will happen?
Alejandro- Some team members might not be able to afford to go
Ryan – when is it?
Alejandro – April 9th

Hufsa – we have a little over $9,000 left for the semester
Kiley- do you think the office of college advancement would be interested in this?
    I feel like this is a lot of money
Brigid – I feel like we gave a lot of money to sports teams last year, and this is the same kind of thing
Hufsa- They did pay a lot out of pocket, though
Matt- I think it would be a good way to get our name out there
Ryan – if each student gives $250 to ASHMC, we should give them $750
Matt- I think they should seek out other funding
    Does anyone have qualms about $750?
Ryan - $750 takes each student’s contribution down to $50
Eric- they should definitely go talk to the other offices
