Improv Club (DUCK) -- Elly Schofield, Max Zhvanetsky
Max – Last semester, we started HMC’s improv club, Duck!
    We wanted to see how the first semester went before asking for budgets
    We now have 13-15 regular members
    We want to be able to start doing Wednesday nighters, but we need some work
    We want to attend a workshop, and we have a contact who’s willing to give us a good price
    A lot of our members have never seen professional improve groups, and we want to go to one in LA
Brandon – how come you don’t organize all your trips through CAP?
Max- we want to make attendance mandatory, as well as admission being free, so we can’t really do that through CAP
Jackma- are you planning to go to more than one show?
Max – yes
Noah- when do you meet?
Max- Sunday afternoons
Hufsa- when will these workshops be?
Max- three Sundays in a row in march
Kiley- will you advertise workshops and have them be open or are they only for your members?
Max- the workshop will be for members, but anyone can join

ASHMC/Mentor/Proctor Back-to-School Break -- The Incredible Hulksa
Hufsa- This semester, I want more feedback and discussion with students about ASHMC
    We came up with an idea to team up with proctors and mentors
    We’re thinking a 30 minute long break, at each dorm, and I’ll go to all of them
    Also, council members would go
    It would be Tuesday and Thursday, 8pm to 10pm
    Michael Edwards said that the mentor program will cover half of the cost
    So, that will be about $120 for ASHMC, assuming $30 total/ dorm
    Questions?
Brigid- do you have a specific set of things to say at these things?
Hufsa- I can do that
    I guess, ask students what they want to see ASHMC doing, what they like, what they don’t
    Any other ideas?
Ryan – That doesn’t sound like it would get good attendance
Hufsa- I feel like we would get more participation working with proctors and mentors
Alexa- What ASHMC members would be there?
Hufsa- I will go to all of them, and then whoever else wants to go can go
Brigid- maybe if you brought snacks, like smores, you’d get better attendance
Kiley- we could use the ice cream cart from downstairs
Margaret- I feel like it would work better if you didn’t have a plan, just open discussion
Kiley- F&M did something similar a while back, and it worked ok
Hufsa- so general consensus is that this isn’t the best idea
Ryan – I think the intention is good, but maybe leave the planning more open for the dorms
Lindsay – Are you hoping that this will be feedback for individual dorms or ASHMC in general?
Hufsa- they can both happen
    I can’t really imagine that the whole 30 minutes will be just about ASHMC
    Maybe I can just email and get feedback…
Brigid- I feel like it’s worth trying
Ayyappa- I like giving the dorms more control over planning
Hufsa- so if we had the same plan, but changed it so the dorms could sign up for whenever they wanted to do it, would that be better?

Hufsa- we don’t know the exact amount, but we have ~$10,000 for this semester
    Improv club?
Kylie- I don’t understand why they need mandatory trips, but they should go through CAP
Brigid- but we give the Surfing Club money for trips
Ryan – it also gives the club more power to subsidize
    They can use it in addition to CAP subsidies
Hufsa- how does the amount sound?
Lindsay – they don’t have any budget right now right? Yeah
