South- Good

North-good, dorm meeting Thursday

Sontag- good. Tres Chic went well

CAP- good

Sophomores- good

West- good. Wild Wild west went well.  Dorm meeting Thursday

East- dorm meeting Tuesday

Case- Casemas on sat.  Had dorm meeting

Freshmen- good

DAC- good

VP- Election coming up this week. Social chair back on the ballot- reworded. Lost 2 of senior honor board members- want to put this on the ballot. Only one person has volunteered to run.

Amy- what would happen if we didn’t have enough people?

Nick- Violate constitution. Supposed to have 6 people.

Treasurer- Have Atwood forms

Athletics- talked to Alex Ross about being Athletics next year. Get him to come to meetings.

Seniors- no updates

Chris- what’s going on with the senior speaker?

Bryan- in contact with Neil Degrasse Tyson

Maggie- he turned us down. Need to find someone else.

Nate Jones- ElecSHMC budget proposal

- Need more money for Project’s Day

Maureen- need to go to student vote because asking for $800

Margaret- Don’t we already get Make magazine?

Chris- expired. Didn’t renew it

Maggie- DOS office gets that

Donald- does DOS order its own magazine?

Maggie- yes. Ask Dean Chris if he has the subscription. Could save that $35

Nathan- could I resubmit if it doesn’t pass?

Donald- what would your new budget be?

Nathan- just ask for $500 (take money out elsewhere)

Nick- will you send us a short paragraph if we decide to put it to election?

Donald- what would you rather have- vote or student budget?

Nathan- if less likely to pass, then restricted budget. Expected Shanahan fund, but did not come through. Students have bought things with this idea that the budget would go through

Andres Morales- Fencing Club budget proposal

- Replace worn out equipment. Safe environment to learn defense.

Donald- how many members in club?

Andres- 20. And 5 have own equipment, 4/5 are competitive.

Donald- for 15 new members, could you buy less than 15 sets? I only have $3000 budget

Andres- subsidize

Donald- buy 4 and share?

Andres- couldn’t fence all at the same time. Then makes people not want to come back.

Amy- where to meet? Room to all go at same time

Andres- gym, yes

Donald- one strip?

Andres- one new strip. This is the minimum price. Just the box, floor chords, and reels

Margaret- what’s the advantage of having one set of that?

Andres- better than the one we do have. Better with electrical equipment.

Margaret- how does the electrical sets work? Sharing?

Andres- need own set of equipment, for competitive. Two weapons, two body chords

Nick- how long does fencing strip last?

Andres- can be maintained for many years. in high school, lasted 8 years

Donald- how many meetings?

Andres- 4 meetings

Donald- how many people show up?

Andres- 20, and 15 for rest

Maureen- would have to go to student election

Decision on budget for MuddVision Camera at Jay’s Place

-Leon proposed it. $750 from long term fund.

Julien- lasts for long time

Margaret- could cost a lot more.

Elly- brought up idea for subsidizing.

Amy- but then students would be able to keep it

Chris-should athletics pay for this?

Donald- yes. Give $50/person- individual, club sports (not CMS sports). Should revise this for student vote. But don’t think it’ll pass this way but want it to pass.

Maggie- we should talk because maybe your money shouldn’t be going to that. This is stuff that my office should cover instead.
