-Asking for about $1900 based on the breakdown of number players at HMC and their costs.

Emma- Have you talked to Athletics?
Jonny- I wanted to ask Donald about that.
Nick- This is an audit from last year?
Jonny- No, this is based off the tournaments we will play and have already played.
Emma- Are you doing fundraising for the club?
Jonny- Did shirts last year. There is also Roller Prom. Wanted to also do a Speedo calendar.
Emma- How much do you expect to get from fundraising?
Jonny- Last year, made $300-350 from shirts. Made $500 from Roller Prom.
Maureen- How much did we give you last year?
Jonny- About $800. Had money from Strategic Vision fund for $1000.
Audrey- Who is allowed to play?
Jonny- Anyone is allowed to play. It’s open on the basketball courts. We have club gear.
Margaret- If we didn’t give you the full amount, do you pay for it yourself?
Jonny- Yes.

Karen Heinselman- Claremont Colleges Ballroom Dance Co. Budget Request
Lauren- want to hold intercollegiate competition with more than 5C’s on December 5 from 8 am to 10 pm. Requiring all ballroom students to go, which is about 300 students. There should be 70-100 Mudd students.
-If make money, will reimburse college.

Maureen- You’re charging?
Lauren- We’re charging $15 for 5 C students, $20 for off campus students. Not charging those students who are required to go.
Amy- How is this different from the Lab Comps?
Karen- Replacing the Lab Comps. It’s a bigger production with professional judges and showcase.
Margaret- Is this admittance fee standard?
Lauren- This is actually low. Since this is the first one, we’re starting small.

Ben Keller- Sontag Dorm Allocation Issues
Ben- Sontag dorm has an account with B of A. Normally, the account gets transferred to the new treasurer. However, B of A is refusing to change signer. Can’t make about $300 worth of reimbursements. Will have to wait a few more weeks, so want $500 right now to make those reimbursements that will be deducted from dorm funds.
Chris- There is a chance that this could be resolved this week. It depends on the person at the bank you see that day. It has been easy for some dorms and harder for others. Maureen and I meeting with managers tomorrow. Considering changing banks. Will have one person from administration be on each dorm’s account.
Chris- Can write the check if they need it right away.

Laura Poindexter- GardenSHMC Charter Approval and Budget Request
Laura- Club will support anyone who wants to grow things in between the garden in between South and Platt. People could also grow things in pots in their own dorms. The first few meetings will determine exactly what we want. The list has 30 people on it right now.
Amy- Have people been helping you with the garden already?
Laura- Yes, a few people have. Haven’t done much this year. Mostly last year. Want to get the club up and running before doing stuff this year. Time to get it going in the Spring.
Nick- How many people are interested in being active club members?
Laura- About a dozen people have talked to me. Would send a students-l email because there are more people who I know are interested in gardening.
Maureen- How many people signed up at the club fair?
Laura- About 20.
Amy- Are you established as a club?
Laura- Not yet. Went to the club fair, but wanted to get people interested first.

Roller Hockey Budget Request
Julian- How much do we fund the Ultimate Frisbee team?
Audrey- And rugby?
Chris- $800 to frisbee (7 Mudders). $200 for rugby (not many Mudd players, 1 on men’s team, about 4 on women’s).
Chrissy- Too much money for transportation to West Covina for regular cars.
-Mudd vans cost more money.
Chris- seen Jonny working on this. Not trying to get more money. Only asking for half.
Nick- Need to talk to Athletics.
Julian- Asking for about the same per student as Frisbee. Seems fair. Plus, they’re paying a lot out of pocket.
Margaret- Doing good advertising too.
Maureen- Want this to go to a student vote?
Bryan- Could we pick up the $1500 and then put the rest to Athletics?
Julian- Would they rather get $1500 right away or $1900 in a month?
Maureen- Would probably want the money right away.
Alyssa- If support them, hopefully get more interest too.
Nick- Will talk to Athletics later.

Hufsa motions to approve budget of $1500

Ballroom Dance Co. Budget Request
Chris- Already gave them $1400.
Maureen- Can’t give them $300. Can only give $100 right now.
Caro- Is this a social event?
Maureen- It’s a club event.
Caro-This is a fine line that we need to work on.
Margaret- Since it’s a competition, more of a club event.
Tole- Not solely a club event though. Off campus people can go.
Nick- I don’t think it will qualify as a social event.
Chris- Will 200 really come from other schools? If so, they will probably break even no matter what.
Kiley- They did say that they were willing to wait until after it happens to see how much we want to give.
Alyssa- We can tell them only give them $100 without putting it to a student vote anyway.
Maureen- We will postpone this.

GardenSHMC Charter Approval
Maureen-Won’t go over budget. Needs to be itemized
Hufsa- how formal do club charters have to be?
Julian- not that formal.
