Since 1998, HMC’s Linde Activities Center (LAC) has been the hub of students’ recreational and fitness activities. The LAC has aerobics and weight rooms, meeting rooms, a basketball court, video games, a television, DVD movies and a gaming area including foosball, billiards, ping pong and air hockey. The LAC, located at the east side of campus, is open to all students of the Claremont Colleges. HMC faculty and staff (including children over the age of 13 and spouses) are also welcome. However, eligible non-students must complete User Agreement, Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability forms at the Human Resources Office prior to using the facility. Please be prepared to show your student, faculty or staff ID when entering the LAC.

Item Rental
Movies
The LAC maintains a collection of several hundred DVDs for personal student use. To view available movies, please visit the LAC's online database at http://lacdb.ac.hmc.edu.
Mudderbikes
The LAC owns a fleet of 17 bicycles that are available for students to check out for 24-hour periods. Please note that students are financially responsible for the bike while it is checked out to them. The LAC stresses the importance of locking the frame of the bikes, not just the front wheel, to one of the college's many bike racks in order to prevent the loss of Mudderbikes.
General Items
Additionally, the LAC has hundreds of items that may be checked out by HMC students. You can check out everything from Nerf guns, to an Xbox Kinect, to power drills, to speakers. Please visit the online database to view a complete list.
