Marc Badger I had a tough time deciding what to major in. I decided to go with physics, but I wanted to keep up with engineering too. That's when I started building modified bikes. I'm excited to improve my welding skills and even more excited to ride some crazy bikes. I'm doing both physics and biology research. I had a great time last summer catching lizards for our studies and am looking forward to doing some technical work in the physics lab this summer. Outside of Mudd, I like to rock-climb, hike, and ski. Beyond classes I'm having loads of fun working on a modified bike project. I'm an active member of my dorm, and am a representative on the Social Committee. Link: http://muddmoddedbikes.blogspot.com/ Hello! Outside of class, I’m a member of PRISM (People Respecting Individuals’ Sexuality at Mudd) and the Society of Women Engineers, and I’m involved in GameSHMC, the Mudd gaming club. I play bass guitar in Professor Keller’s jazz class, which meets on the second floor of the Mudd library. When I’m not otherwise busy, you can usually find me in the East Dorm Lounge playing games with my friends. Link: http://skyeisfalling.blogspot.com/ Hey y'all! Outside of class, I'm involved with the campus through The Muddraker, where I create the layout for Harvey Mudd's newspaper, the Dean of Students office, where I plan goofy activities for the campus every week, the Asian/Pacific Islander Sponsor Program at Mudd, where I act as a mentor towards freshmen, and the admissions office, where I lead tours. Aside from that, I enjoy going to see live music, photography, procrastinating at my computer, and going out to eat. I also sleep every once in a while. I enjoy a wide range of activities and take the opportunities I get at Mudd to try new things when they present themselves; since I've been here I've built and launched a rocket, sailed a yacht race, flown a small plane, gone "hashing," worn a santa-hat for nearly two months straight, strung hammocks from the rafters of the dining hall, re-shingled a roof and then put solar panels on it, and enjoyed some of the most rockin' guitar hero jams with my roommate of two and a half years. Currently my two favorite classes are VLSI Chip Design and Robotics. Link: http://themuddyswamp.blogspot.com/ Who am I? I'm an Engineering Major class of 2009, Male, Christian, Gamer, Eastie, Flute and Piano player, Server Operator, Event Organizer, Anime Watcher, Ultimate Frisbee Player, Observer, Martial Artist learner, Video Editor, Philosopher, Jokester, Programmer, Fun Friendly Duder, Tour Guider, Factoid lover, Game Theorizer/Designer, the list goes on and on. And when I'm not doing homework, well, there are lots of options out there. Link: http://spellmansays.blogspot.com/ I'm a proctor at Sontag Dorm (best dorm ever!) and part of the activities planning team for the Dean of Students office (we plan at least one study break each week for the entire campus). I'm a jack of all trades, which means my hobbies including at least the following: cooking, arts & crafts, video & photography, traveling & meeting awesome people, and planning events. I'm currently planning what to do after I graduate, which consists of convincing my family to let me take some time off to learn more about the world because I don't want a "real" job any time soon.
