Gilman '89 is an assistant professor of chemistry at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville, with research interests in the areas of bioanalytical chemistry and environmental chemistry. After graduating from Harvey Mudd, he earned a Ph.D. in chemistry at the Pennsylvania State University in 1994 and was awarded a postdoctoral research position in the departments of environmental toxicology and entomology at the University of California at Davis. Gilman arrived at Harvey Mudd as a graduate of Exeter Union High School in Exeter, Calif.
