As an assistant professor of chemistry at the College of William and Mary, Bebout is interested in the spectroscopic and mechanistic characterization of molecules of biological significance. Debbie was a graduate of Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo, Calif. Prior to her current position, Bebout earned a Ph.D. in chemistry at Cornell University and completed a two-year postdoctoral position at Penn State.
