Structure
Officers
President
The President shall set meeting times and locations. He shall also make any decisions concerning who will compose teams that compete at tournaments, using attendance and performance records kept during practices. He shall also supervise the organization or excursions to tournaments at other schools, as well as that of tournaments held here.
Vice President
The Vice President shall assist the President with any of his duties and serve as Acting President in the President's absence during competitions or otherwise.
Membership
No member or officer of this ASHMC Chartered organization shall be selected, dismissed, or discriminated against on the basis of age, race, religion, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, or political affiliation.
Philosophy
Briefly, everyone who expects to get something out of being on the team is expected to put something back into the team. If a person wants to compete, that person has to show that they are willing to put forth the necessary effort by attending practices regularly, expanding their knowledge inside and outside of the classroom, respecting the team and its members, and using their time and effort to put back into the team by serving as an officer or just asking to help out. The team cannot function unless everyone is doing his or her part.
