The Harvey Mudd College chapter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) has been awarded a Corning Incentive Grant first place recognition for hosting the WEST conference in April of last year.

The Corning Incentive Grant recognizes the SWE student sections that have most effectively exposed the pre-college students in their area to the opportunities available to them in an engineering or science-related careers.

The award included $500 for use in preparing for next year's conference, according to SWE co-presidents, students Sara Al-Beaini and Catherine Meyers.
