Harvey Mudd College President Jon Strauss' nomination to the National Science Board was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on Saturday, Nov. 20, and signed by President George W. Bush on Monday, Nov. 29, according to NSB Executive Director Michael P. Crosby. President Strauss will take the oath of office at the next NSB board meeting.

Strauss' term, along with those of eight additional new board members nominated by President Bush in September, will expire May 10, 2010.
