Feb 29, 2012 - Claremont, Calif. - Adrian Hightower, assistant professor of engineering, will serve as a guest judge on a new Discovery Channel show executive produced by MythBusters hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman.

 “Unchained Reaction,” an engineering competition series that premieres 10 p.m. March 18, will task teams with building elaborate, massive chain reaction devices.

Hightower will join Savage and Hyneman in judging the premiere show’s contest, which will feature contraptions based upon the theme “Heavy vs. Light.” Contestants will be the Blecha Brothers, a team of Hollywood set carpenters, and Team Crash Space, electronics experts comprised of hackers, programmers, builders and artists.
