Archambault accepts new position at Utah Valley University

Jun 21, 2010 - Claremont, CA -

Vice President for College Advancement Marc Archambault will leave Harvey Mudd College at the end of June 2010 to become the new vice president for development and alumni at Utah Valley University (www.uvu.edu), it was announced recently. He will begin his new position on August 1, 2010.

"We greatly appreciate what Marc has done for the college over the past few years and wish him the very best for this exciting new stage of his career," said President Maria Klawe in announcing his departure.

Archambault joined HMC in December 2006. Over the past three and a half years, he strengthened the Office of College Advancement and led successful efforts to increase engagement with alumni, parents and friends of the College. While most national academic and non-profit institutions have seen a decline in philanthropic support over the past few years, HMC annual giving increased by 37 percent. The College achieved 100 percent participation by the Board of Trustees, raised annual fund participation by parents to nearly 20%, and set other HMC fundraising records, including the largest gift ever received and the largest number of gifts received in a single day.

HMC will begin a national search shortly for a new vice president for college advancement.
