Kaplan and Newsweek have named Harvey Mudd College to its elite "New Ivies" list, published in the 2007 Kaplan/Newsweek "How to Get into College Guide."

Along with Pomona College, also a member of the Claremont Colleges Consortium, HMC and the "New Ivies" were featured in a segment of NBC's Today show on Monday, August 14.

During the segment, Newsweek Senior Editor Barbara Kantrowitz said of HMC and Pomona College: "They're part of the Claremont Colleges. I think they really are wonderful schools. You get the benefits of a small school within the context of a wider university."
