Center for Environmental Studies Announces Winners of Summer Research Competition

Harvey Mudd College's Center for Environmental Studies has announced the winners of this year’s summer research competition.

The Center was established in 1999 with the goal of promoting innovation, critical reflection and social engagement on diverse environmental issues. In addition to sponsoring clinics and educational events, each summer the Center provides opportunities for students and faculty to pursue leading-edge research on environmental topics.

"This year, the Center received an unprecedented number of highly qualified applications representing a broad representation across the college's departments," according to the announcement by Paul F. Steinberg, assistant professor of political science and environmental policy in HMC's Department of Humanities and Social Sciences.

The projects are:

"Developing Multiple Alternative Energy Solutions to Meet Tomorrow’s Needs"
