Harvey Mudd College faculty, staff, students, alumni and trustees are invited to attend community forums about the Teaching and Learning Building scheduled for Sept. 1 and Sept. 8 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Galileo McAlister. The forum will be hosted by President Maria Klawe and the Boora Architect team.

Over the summer, the Vacated Space and Schematic Design teams have been working on refining and developing HMC's Vacated Space Program and the Schematic Design for its new Teaching and Learning Center. The two community forums will feature the progress the teams have made and will seek feedback from participants.

The focus of the work for the Vacated Space Program was to review the possible uses of space that will be vacated by the construction of the new Teaching and Learning Center. Classrooms that will be vacated were reviewed as well as space within Sprague, Platt, Galileo and Kingston.

The focus of the work for the Teaching and Learning Center Schematic Design was centered around floor plans, siting, elevations, building massing, contextual campus fit, circulation and exterior finishes.

The forums will cover the same material so participants are welcome to attend either forum.
