Senior Giving

Senior Gift

Annual gifts from alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends make up 10% of the operating budget of Harvey Mudd College. These gifts support all areas of the budget — from scholarships to faculty salaries to lab equipment.

These gifts come to life when they fund research costs for a senior thesis, keep electricity flowing into study areas 24-hours a day, or bring alumni and students together to dream of future projects. These gifts connect us all by making the mission of Mudd more than just a statement. Now you have the opportunity to make Mudd possible by giving back.

2012 Senior Gift

The Class of 2012 has chosen their senior class gift: couches for the new Teaching and Learning Building. Any class member who gives $500 or more to the class gift will be recognized for their support with a numbered Thomas-Garrett wart. Seniors may also give to other areas on campus as they see fit.

Ways to Give

There are a number of ways you can make your gift to HMC. Click here to make a credit card or e-check gift now. To support the Class of 2012 project, please enter the amount in the "Special Designation" area and write "2012 Senior Gift" in the instructions area.

Visit Parsons B142 to make a gift of cash, check, or credit in person to the Annual Giving staff. For the first time this year you can make your gift by using Claremont Cash. Staff and committee members will be tabling from April 2-13 in Hoch-Shanahan Dining Commons, where you can give using any of these methods.

Gifts in Honor

Seniors, you can now make your senior gift in honor of someone special. This is your opportunity to offer a special thank you to your support system: parents, family, professors, administrators, friends, mentors — anyone who has made an impression on your experience these last four year.

This special recognition will be listed in the program at the Senior Awards Ceremony Luncheon the day before commencement.

You can also follow Harvey Mudd College on Facebook or LinkedIn for a virtual outlet to connect with alumni.

You can sign up to volunteer or contact someone in the Office of Alumni & Parent Relations if you would like to partner with us.

"Reach into your pocket. I bet every one of you has a $5 bill. If 200 people in a class give $5, you have $1,000. That's not bad. What about $10? And so on. You spend more than that on your cell phone. If I hadn't had financial aid, I don't know how I would have come to this school. Think about what Harvey Mudd did for you."
