I owe a lot to HMC - 4 years at Mudd taught me how to think and landed me a great career in high tech - which has fueled a wonderful life. Besides, the memory of Long Tall Glasses must live on forever.
Working with students and professors on clinic projects brings me face to face with the future of engineering, while at the same connecting me with my past as a student at HMC.
I believe smart, passionate scientist who are well rounded are critical to making a difference in our world, especially addressing climate change and global human development.
I think it is a great teaching institution--it prepared me for the multi-discipline work environment we all have. Also when I tried to pay back my folks for my college education, starting in 1969, they told me to pass it on to the next generation.
Mary and I continue to be inspired by the creative ways the college's administration, faculty and students work together in creating new knowledge that meets the changing needs of our society.
