Student Support

Incoming students are reassured that HMC believes choosing a college is more about "fit" rather than "finances". Harvey Mudd College is committed to educating and graduating the next generation of scientific leaders. With a selective approach to identify future Mudders, HMC cannot afford to lose potential leaders as a result of limited resources.

Your ability to support student scholarships through the Annual Mudd Fundd directly impacts the experience of the perfect "fit" for our next generation of Harvey Mudd College graduates.

21% Student Scholarships

  • 82% of all students receive some form of aid
  • $18,090 is the average HMC grant aid awarded to students

Faculty Support

The strong commitment of faculty members adds considerable value to a Harvey Mudd College degree. No other major undergraduate college in the US offers the outstanding level of one-to-one interaction between students and faculty that HMC delivers. This commitment is why many of our alumni experience great success after graduation, and why the College has never compromise—and never will compromise—its commitment to faculty.

Your willingness to support the Annual Mudd Fundd as generously as you can afford plays a pivotal role in helping to maintain the level of teaching excellence and the extraordinary education that is the Harvey Mudd College experience.

Campus Support

The campus community provides the unique experience that many alumni value after leaving Harvey Mudd College. Lifelong friendships, valuable leadership experience and opportunities to impact the community contribute greatly to the educational experience at HMC. Beyond calculators and lab coats, HMC students relish in the non-academic offerings, of the Claremont University Consortium, students activities, proctor support and campus maintenance. Less apparent, the College grounds play a significant role to a college experience, as "home" for four years with a favorite tree, quiet place, nook or view of the mountains.

Your support of campus priorities ensures that life beyond the classroom infuses the community and continues to support the growth of the whole person.
