Odin is a UNIX server for students. It operates as a
file server for OS X computers in the labs, and when you log onto Mac OS X in
the labs, you are actually logging onto Odin.
Students get email on Odin.
Students automatically recieve an account on Odin.
How to connect to Odin:
- FTP to
odin.ac.hmc.edu to get files off the server or
put files onto the server
- Go to your home directory on Mac OS X to get files off the
server, view or edit files on the server, or put new files onto the server
- telnet to
odin.ac.hmc.edu
to get a UNIX shell
- Set your mailserver to
odin.ac.hmc.edu to get and send mail using Odin.
