CD Recorder

Description:
The Yamaha CRW4260 CD Recorder allows you to burn and rewrite CDs.
How to burn a CD
- Go to the Tlingit (the hard drive on the desktop), Applications, CD-R,
Toast Folder, Adaptec Toast 3.5.4. This will bring you to the
following window:

Adaptec Toast Screen Shot
- To select the type of data to be stored on the CD, go to Format (in the menu bar) and
then one of the following:
- "Mac Volume" and "Mac Files and Folders" - "Mac Volume" allows you to write volumes
(e.g. the computer's hard drive) to a CD. "Mac Files and Folders" allows you to write particular
files and folders to a CD. Click on Data... to bring up a window showing what volumes or
files/folders are going onto the CD. The root of the tree of items is the name of the CD (which
you can change by double-clicking on it).
- "ISO 9660" - This option will let you store PC files/folders on a CD. To use the extended Windows 95
file/folder names (which you'll most likely wish to do), go to Data..., click on the Settings
tab, and under "Naming", select Joliet (MS-DOS + Windows95). In the same place, you can click on
More... to set the Volume Set ID (which is what appears as the CD's name).
- "Mac/ISO Hybrid" - Allows you to write Mac volumes and PC files/folders.
- "Audio CD" - You can drag audio files here to record them as audio on the CD (playable from CD player).
- If you haven't already done so, put the blank CD into the CD caddy and insert it into
the CRW drive.
- Click on the Write CD... button.
